How the Loan Process Works
There is no doubt that getting a mortgage loan is a complex process. You wouldn't be researching mortgage loans if you could get a loan in a single day by filling out a simple application. We do most of the heavy lifting for you, so you can concentrate on what's important — preparing to move into your new home or saving money.
Getting a home loan involves four major steps.
Step one: determine how much you can borrow
This is a function of a couple things. What kind of monthly payment are you looking for? What is the maximum you can borrow from a lender, given your income and credit history? Use the calculators on our website to determine your monthly payment amount. And we can guide you to the right loan amount and best program for you when you answer a few quewstions. Based on standard lender guidelines, we'll get you a good idea of what kind of terms and loan program you can expect to benefit most from.
Step two: complete a pre-qualification
This is where The Mortgage Partner will begin saving you money. You will supply details on your employment, assets, and your residence history. You'll give us information on your employment, asset, and residence history. We get your permission to run your credit score and report. We'll go over all this information then will give you a letter of pre-qualification. Be careful with this letter — it is a great tool when you make your offer! With this letter, your real estate agent will negotiate the best deal for your new home. While you're shopping for your new home, we are researching the best loan program for you.
Once you've made an offer and it's been accepted, it's time to complete the loan application. It's very easy, and you can do it online, right here on our site. Finally, we'll order an appraisal of your new home.
Step four: your loan is funded
The agents will find a title company to handle the "funding" and closing of the sale. We'll work with this company to ensure the papers your lender will need are in order, and you will probably}likely sign all these papers at their officeWe coordinate with this company on your closing date. Because you don't have to worry with this coordination, you can think about moving logistics, if you're going to repaint, new carpet, and the fun parts of moving into your new house.
You've answered a few questions, provided detailed information, applied online, and before you know it, you're moving in! We do the mortgage legwork so you can spend your time finding your new home.
